Best Bang for Your Buck Workout DVD

I have tried it all. I own an exercise ball, pilates mat and ring, and several different workout DVDs. I am not and will not claim to be an exercise enthusiast by any means, but I do love the way I feel after a good workout and how well my body rests as a result. I also am not under a false impression that I should lose weight; I just like the way a not too time consuming workout feels and makes me feel.

In August of 2009, while watching my favorite daytime show, The View, I was introduced to Jillian Michaels of The Biggest Loser. She seemed like she could be a drill sergeant and could definitely whip this booty into shape. The hosts did a plug for her newest workout DVD, The 30 Day Shred. They harped on the fact that the workouts were only 20 minutes each, which totally works for me. I don't like to go to the gym; the preparation to go and the getting there usually lasts longer than the workout, and people are constantly looking at you while working out. You've been there, you go at ungodly speeds on the elliptical in fear of looking like a complete loser to the person next to you. You then pay for succumbing for the next few days. A workout that I can do in the comforts of my own living room in a short amount of time is perfect for me.

Jillian Michaels: 30 Day Shred [DVD]

I spent $10 on this DVD from amazon.com. I've also seen it being sold in Target as well. Best $10 I've spent going towards exercise ever. Hands down. I've been using this DVD for almost a year and a half and am still on the 1st level of 3. Believe me, when Jillian tells you to start at level 1, that means START AT LEVEL 1. I usually can hang pretty well with exercises. With this one, not so much.

If you made a resolution to be more in shape this year or just want a good workout, I would highly recommend this DVD.

this is my favorite workout DVD! it totally works and you definitely see the difference after a while (or at least i did). once you feel like you've maxed out all 3 levels, her other DVDs are really good too. unfortunately, they aren't as short as the shred. good luck!

I'm not gonna lie... Jillian scares the crap out of me... but it's encouraging to hear that someone likes her!
