Item #1 that Changed My Life

The title sounds dramatic, and maybe it is, but it's true. This year for my birthday, I only asked for one thing from my parents--a watch. I picked out several different styles that I liked. I received a watch for my birthday but also something I did not even know that I wanted, or needed.

My mom hit the jack pot with this birthday gift. It is perhaps one of the most practical and useful gifts I have received to date, and I didn't even know I was missing out. My mom had purchased a steamer in preparation for my sister and brother-in-law's wedding last summer and was hooked and realized its practicality and usefulness.

Ironing clothes takes so much time. I have an iron and an ironing board, and I am proud to say that I have never had to wipe the dust off of them before using. I wear a ton of cotton clothes, and it's cumbersome to get the ironing board out, fill the iron with water, and then wait for the iron to heat up in order to iron one piece of clothing (usually as I am running late). With this steamer, you plug it up and are ready to steam the wrinkles out of your clothing within 30 seconds. With basically 4 swipes of the brush on each side, your garment is ready to wear. This is one of the most helpful and practical (have I said that already?) household items I own to date. I don't see the usefulness of this gift going away anytime soon.
