Just a little Christmas cheer...

There is so much truth and comfort found in the words Paul penned in Romans 8. This chapter goes from declaring that we have been set free from the bounds of sin and the Law to the brevity of sufferings on this earth to God working for us and with us through our weakness and then ends with how deep and high His love is for us.

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do,weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1-4

There's the Gospel in those 4 verses. God sent His own Son as a propitiation of our sins, to take ALL of our sins upon Himself. He became our sin. What I couldn't do and what you couldn't do, Jesus Christ did. He made all things new. He paid a debt He did not owe that we could not pay.

But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39

Nothing can separate us from His love. Nothing we have done, presently are doing, or will do. Nothing. No one can keep us from His love.

No mountain, no valley
No gain or loss we know
Could keep us from Your love

No sickness
No secret
No chain is strong enough
To Keep us from Your love
To Keep us from Your love

How high
How wide
No matter where I am
Healing is in Your hands
How deep
How strong
Now by Your grace I stand
Healing is in Your hands

Our present
Our future
Our past is in Your hands
We’re covered by Your blood
We’re covered by Your blood

How high
How wide
No matter where I am
Healing is in Your hands
How deep
How strong
Now by Your grace I stand
Healing is in Your hands

In all things, we know that
We are more than conquerors
You keep us by Your love

In all things, we know that
We are more than conquerors
You keep us by Your love
You keep us by Your love

How high
How wide
No matter where I am
Healing is in Your hands
How deep
How strong
Now by Your grace I stand
Healing is in Your hands
