i've been gone for too long now...

What I have been up to since June 30 (aka my birthday)....

-For the weekend of the 4th, Jordan went home with me to Barnesville to spend some time with my family for post-birthday and 4th of July festivities. We enjoyed a relaxing weekend and got presents...I got a decorative UA plate, a new watch, and a steamer. Wrinkled clothes are a thing of the past for this girl. On the 4th, we spent the day at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA.

Mom, Dad, and me at Callaway.

-From Barnesville, Jordan and I traveled to Wake Forest, NC to view Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. The area was beautiful and is really close to Raleigh. We found a cute Italian restaurant in the heart of Raleigh that was wonderful.

-Two weekends later, I met Jordan in Birmingham for a youth conference and got to spend too little time with my old pal, Nick. It was good to see him, but we didn't get to hang out near long enough. We kept driving to Montgomery where we got to spend the late afternoon and evening with Jordan's family and grandparents.

-The following weekend, Jordan and I made a much anticipated and long awaited trip to San Francisco, CA. A couple of our former college ministers, along with their families and a few other families (and a Josh), are starting a church in San Francisco. This trip was 3-fold: visit the Lee's, visit the seminary, and visit a city that we've never been to in a state we've never been to. As a result of flight delays and previously falling in love with Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham, the trip to the seminary was cancelled. We had such a great time visiting this city and getting to spend some time with friends!

Jordan and me in front of the Bay Bridge really close to the Lee's apartment!
San Francisco Farmer's Market...ultimate mooch paradise!
Dinner with the Lee's and Josh in Little Italy
Lombard Street
AT&T Park (Giants Stadium)

-Last weekend, Jordan and I went with the Children's Ministry at our church to Kids Camp at Lake Tiak O'Khata in Louisville, MS. It was a lot of fun but really tiring!

-This past weekend, I got to enjoy a relaxing couple of days in Tuscaloosa in my own house in my own bed. It's been a fun summer, but the break was definitely welcomed.
