How I Love Television!

In case you didn't know, I love TV. During the school year I really do not have enough time to watch TV and I have a boyfriend that doesn't like all of my shows, so my DVR is my best friend. I'm a hopeless romantic. I love shows that remind me of my past and my friends. I love to watch things on tv that are completely different from my own life. I love reality tv so much I even wrote a speech on it for a class. I love shows on the CW. The Golden Girls and the Cosby Show are two of my all-time favorite shows. This has been a great week in TV with still some great shows to come. The following are some of my favorites.

If you've known me for longer than 5 seconds, you know that I am obsessed with American Idol. I have been since season 3 (wish I could say since the beginning). Those of you that know all the stats on Alabama football, I know all the stats on American Idol. When I hear a song on the radio, I don't say, "Oh I love [insert whoever is singing here]!" It's "[So and so] sang this on American Idol!" I could spout off useless trivia regarding this show. I think I love it so much because I love music and I really can't sing that well.

The season finale is next week. My top four this season ended up finishing in the top 4 places. I have had an up-and-down year as far as Idol is concerned because I'll love love someone one week, and then the next my favorite will change. I've loved Lee DeWyze since Hollywood and hoping he gets the win!

There have been a lot of questions concerning Simon leaving and how the show will go. I have had some time to come to terms with the future of this show and feel like this might be its last big season. I think it'll go out with a bang!

I think this one goes without explanation. Who doesn't love the Office?

Just as with American Idol, I wish I could say I have been a One Tree Hill faithful since the beginning. Somehow I got hooked on this CW drama just last season and still think I have seen all episodes during its 7 season tenure. The finale this week had be on the edge of my seat the entire time and ended with a twist, in contrast to the way everything ended perfectly last season with all loose-ends tied. I am excited to report from the credible source of my dear friend Emily Sanderson that OTH will be coming back for its 8th season in the fall. I'm not quite ready to say goodbye.

Modern Family has offered so many laughs this year. I don't mean quiet chuckles to myself but roaring laughter. I love the dynamics of this family and have to say Cam is my favorite. I'm so excited that this show will continue to air through the summer!

90210 is my guilty pleasure. I mean it's better than eating my weight in chocolate or partaking in the drinking of adult beverages, right? I am fully aware that I am a 21 year old college graduate that looks forward to Tuesday evenings to watch the drama that unfolds at West Beverly High, but I can't resist. Morgan and I found ourselves engrossed afternoon after afternoon in the original unbeknownst to my parents and were both excited to see that a spin-off was coming out. I have thoroughly enjoyed the past 2 seasons of this show and look forward to more!
