I love music, any kind. I like country, R&B, pop/top 40, christian, rap, oldies, rock...everything. Although I like all genres of music, there are bands/singers that I absolutely (I hate to use the upcoming word) loathe. Not them as people, just their music. I'm sure they're lovely people. Whenever I hear Nickelback, I just want to scream and usually have an extremely hard time refraining from doing so and almost always lose the battle. And although I really love my country music, I get really uncomfortable when I hear a country tune in which a man is talking about getting drunk or about a woman's "assets." So, when asked to talk about my top 3 favorite bands in my challenge, which I have broadened to include singers, I have a really hard time. So, I'll try to do it, as best as I can.
So, here's my list. I tried to choose musicians that have spent a long time on my top list.
James Taylor. I don't know how anyone cannot like James Taylor, no matter how old or young you are. I feel like his music never goes out of style. Give me just an artist singing with a guitar over a whole band any day.

Shane and Shane. It all started my senior year in high school when I came for a campus visit at UA and attended a Shane and Shane concert. I had of course heard of them before but this was the first time I really listened to them and realized how much I loved their stuff. I love how their lyrics are a lot of the time straight Bible verses. I'm thankful for what these guys do and how they lead me in worship, whether it be in my car or in my house. There CDs never get old to me.
The Eagles. My dad has always played the Eagles in our house. He sings at the top of his lungs when listening to them. When I was in Junior High, I became obsessed with the song Desperado, which has kind of become mine and my dad's "song." This obsession led to my love to pretty much all of the Eagles' stuff and what I love most about it is that my dad loves it, too.
