Day 3--Favorite TV Show

I've been putting this blog post off ALL day. Why, you ask. Well, I watch way too much TV so it is almost IMPOSSIBLE for me to narrow all of my shows down to my favorites. Let me give you a little insight into why exactly this is so hard, with my weekly TV viewing schedule--

Monday--Chuck, How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, 90210, The Event
Tuesday--One Tree Hill
Wednesday--America's Next Top Model, Modern Family
Thursday--The Office, Community, Big Bang Theory, Outsourced, Bleep My Dad Says

I also DVR The View everyday and watch Regis and Kelly at least 3 times a week. On top of that, I addicted to American Idol during the winter and spring months.

I blogged about all of my favorites this past May.

I can narrow all of my favorites over the years down to 3 shows.

Drum roll, please.

One Tree Hill--I feel like I can identify with this show more than any other I've ever watched. No, I've never been really dark or the really smart one or the one who liked to have her fun with the guys in high school. However, I feel like a part of me can identify with each of the original girls on this show. I hope I am as passionate about what I love as Peyton, or see the best in everyone as Haley does, or love with abandon as Brooke does. I also feel like I can identify with this show because they always seem to go back to the friends that were there at the beginning.
Dawson's Creek--There are not too many summer mornings in junior high and early high school that I do not remember being glued to my television watching these kids from Capeside. My buds Candie, Tessa, and I spent countless nights watching this gem of a show on DVD. This show has so much nostalgic value for me; I watch it and immediately go back to the age of 14 or 15 when a certain guy never seemed to notice me and life seemed so hard. Plus, who doesn't identify with the love triangle of Pacey-Joey-and-Dawson?

American Idol--If you claim to know me, this should be a no-brainer. I cannot say I have followed since the very first season (I watched a couple the first 2 seasons before coming a faithful follower during the 3rd season). I love music. I may not be the best singer, but I love to sing, and I love to sing along with others. This is the perfect show for me. They're constantly changing things up, there's a competition, and I seem to connect with the contestants on a more personal level. So many Tuesday and Wednesday nights have been shared with my parents watching this show. "Soul Patrol." Forever.
