Birthday

So, I love birthdays. I love celebrating people. Jordan told me to calm down on his birthday 2 weeks ago. My birthday was today, and although I love birthdays, I don't like everything to be about me. Yes, I'm outgoing and could talk to a brick wall, but I usually like to be more of a behind-the-scenes kind of person. I was really nervous about my birthday and almost dreading it this year because Jordan would be gone. It ended up being really great. I'm going to make a list of what made it so great.

1. Getting sung to by my sister Morgan and new brother Aron at midnight their time.

2. Getting a text message from my sweet boyfriend at midnight and several throughout the day to make sure I was having a good day.

3. All the text messages people sent me to tell me happy birthday.

4. My sweet Dad's text in which he called me my nickname and told me he loved me.

5. Waking up at 6 AM so thirsty and finding my roommate had decorated the kitchen when I went to get water.

6. A card from Lauren Henderson with money to buy my dinner.

7. Waking up and having 56 notifications on Facebook.

8. My Springwood teachers coming through for me OVERWHELMINGLY on a project that is due tomorrow.

9. Extended phone conversation with my Mama and her getting me through yesterday when I was freaking out.

10. Lunch with my pal Lynnlee before she leaves for the summer.

11. Cupcakes left on my front porch from Emily Sanderson, who is at the beach.

12. Jordan calling me and having all the youth at beach blast sing happy birthday to me.

13. Sleeping in til 10:00.

14. Not working.

15. Not doing school work.

16. Finally finishing up One Tree Hill season 2 that I've been working on since Christmas.

17. Nap this afternoon.

18. Wearing a new dress.

19. Iguana grill with 15 friends.

20. My sweet friend Jessica Kern "brought the beach to me" since I had two opportunities to go to the beach this week.

21. Girl time with Hannah, Kimberlee, and Lauren tonight.

22. Being reminded how loved I am today and how much more my Savior loves me. Being able to reflect on one of the most amazing ladies that has touched my life and and reflecting on her life, how she loved others. I was so fortunate to share my birthday with my sweet Grandmother. Her life had such an impact on my life.
